Geometry, in a sense, is a recognition of form in a world of nature where chaos is more the norm. It is a defense, constructed by the human mind, against what would otherwise be erratic and disarticulated. This is also a fundamental definition of kata. The author expounds on the implications of this for the martial arts and life arts.
