Use of the Wrist in the Vertical Punch and the Twisting Straight Punch: A Biomechanical Comparison

Two different methods for throwing a straight punch emerged, the most popular being the twisting punch, and the other is a vertical punch. This article examines the biomechanics of both punches in order to determine which punch is more effective, both from the standpoint of effectiveness and from that of injury prevention.
