Landings from martial arts jump kicks involve large amounts of stress to the lower legs as evidenced by injuries sustained by athletes in both training and competition. Researchers utilized high-speed filming of practitioners and analized the data to better understand the body mechanics involved. Suggestions are offered to help prevent injuries.
