The Taiji Medium Frame routine is a modified version of the original Chen Family Style called Old Frame. This article investigates the Medium Frame form in its role as the basis for Yang Chengfu’s Large Frame form by comparing the stances of both. The analysis of these frames gives a better understanding of the body mechanics involved in both.
