Taijiquan’s traditional forms can be practiced solo by an individual, or in groups. In this article, the author presents the relative merits of group practice versus solo practice. Included are aspects of speed, energy, awareness of surroundings, learning opportunities, and companionship. Regardless, every practice session leaves its mark.
