Thoughts on the Classic of Taijiquan

By Carol M. Derrickson, M.A.

Thoughts on the Classic of Taijiquan

The author translates the original Chinese text of the Classic of Taijiquan by Wang Zongyue to better understand three dominate aspects: 1) the meaning and importance of taiji, 2) coordinating all movements in terms of the “13 stances,” and 3) using the interchange of yin-yang duality to control one’s opponent.
