The author recounts how it was to study under one of the great Chinese boxing masters in Taiwan nearly forty years ago. He describes training, the workout room, clothing, foods, etiquette, and the general physical and social atmosphere of the period. Discussions of the five elements and five fists provide insight into Hong’s Xingyi.
