The Rhythm of Aikido, Part I

In this two-part article, we apply some music principles to aspects of aikido training. Part I includes stretches, single-person routines to develop balance and mind-body coordination, rolling and falling. Learning to move according to this rhythm allows one to adequately match an attack, blend and flow with it, and finally neutralize it.
