Yamada Yoshimitu's Influence on Aikido in the West

Yamada, a live-in disciple of aikido founder Ueshiba Mohehei, had arrived in the United States in 1964. He later founded the United States Aikido Federation, which now encompasses over four hundred aikido schools in North and South America. The article also discusses aikido’s development, and demonstrations by Yamada.
