Sword scabbards rot, dry out and split, warp, and are broken when stepped or driven upon. It is desirable to have a practice scabbard for each working sword so that the original scabbard remains pristine for display or formal purposes. This article shows “how to” build a serviceable scabbard according talents of anyone moderately handy with tools.
