The Pauleh Tinggi is a unique ceremony of the Minangkabau ethnic group in West Sumatra, Indonesia. It features all-male performances and stylized competitions in the local martial arts style called Ulu Ambek, which relies heavily on the use of magic. This article details one of the three ceremonies which were performed in the 20th century.
